    Contemplative Practice at St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace

    St Ethelburga’s Centre, 78 Bishopsgate, London, EC2N 4AG. 18.30 – 19.30
    Join us to share contemplative silence for the sake of our world at this special event celebrating Inter Faith Week.

    Contemplation is a universal practice that can be found in faith and secular traditions from around the world. Those of all faiths and none are warmly welcome.You are welcome to practice your preferred mode of contemplative practice in this gathering, but no previous prayer or meditation practice is required.

    This event will include a short reading drawn from different faith/secular sources, an offering of shared prayer, 30 minutes of silent contemplation, and a chance for participants to share any reflections if they wish. This will be followed by a shared meal from 19.30-21.00.…

    Interfaith Week Flag Raising

    Barking Town Hall, 1 Clockhouse Ave, Barking IG11 7LU
    The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham invites our local community to join us in celebrating the beginning of Interfaith Week on 11 November. This special occasion highlights the positive contributions of various faiths to our community, fosters a deeper understanding of different religious beliefs, and acknowledges the common values we share.
    Deputy Leader Saima Ashraf and local faith leaders will deliver speeches, and students from Gascoigne Primary School will perform short musical pieces to mark the week.

    Representatives of all faiths and none join together in this annual celebration of what we have in common, in the Gatehouse Community Space.     Under the theme -" How do we serve our communities" - faith groups are being invited to have a stall in St Albans Abbey during this evening to share a project or aspect of their life that serves the community. We will then hearing how the Abbey and especially the story of St Alban inspires all of us to serve our neighbour. …
