    Whole year assemblies

    Bingley Grammar School, BD16 2RS. 8.30 – Friday 15 November 9.00
    All year groups will be given an assembly promoting InterFaith Week from the Head of Religious Studies, involving modelling and promoting pro-active interfaith dialogue without emphasis on trying to persuade others of our beliefs.
    I will be asking Y11 students to get involved in the assemblies to see if they would like to model an example of interfaith dialogue. If this is unsuccessful, I will show a video provided by the InterFaith network.…

  • Tuesday 12 November

    Midlands Interfaith Conference

    Room EC1-29, Frank Whittle Building, 3 Gulson Road, Coventry CV1 2JH. 18.00 – 21.00
    This evening event will take place at Coventry University. It is designed to re-energise interfaith dialogue and multi-faith social action across the West and East Midlands, in the wake of the closure of the Inter Faith Network, the Middle East conflict and the recent disturbances in British cities. The Faith Minister, Lord Khan of Burnley, will be giving the keynote speech. Other speakers include Professor Mike Hardy from the Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations at Coventry University; Cllr Abdul Khan, Community Cohesion lead, Coventry City Council; the Most Revd John Witcombe, Dean of Coventry Cathedral; Rabbi Dr Michael Hilton; Patricia Stoat, Chair of Nottingham
    Interfaith Council; and Kirit Mistry, Founder of South Asian Health Action, Leicester. There will be plenty of networking, and an opportunity for participants to design new collaborations and projects. The conference will be accompanied by an Interfaith Fair where local inter faith groups can showcase their activities (starting 5pm), and preceded by a workshop for young adults.…

    Talks about Inter Faith

    Quaker Friends Meeting House, Stramongate, Kendal, Cumbria LA9 4BH. 10.30 – 13.00
    AWAZ Cumbria and Westmorland and Furness Diversity Equity and Inclusion Partnership (WFDEIP) present talks on interfaith by

    Karen O’Donoghue. A member of SLIF South Lakeland Interfaith Forum Committee and a member of the Baha’i Faith. She is the Chair of the Cumbria Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE). She will speak about the teaching of religion and world views in local schools.

    Councillor Craig Russell. Craig was born and brought up in Kendal and is part of the Christian tradition. He has worked as a deacon, organiser and teacher most of his life with organisations such as United Religions Initiative. Councillor for Kendal Town Council. His talk is about Faith Covenants.

    Interfaith Moot - The Divine Feminine

    Join us for our third annual Interfaith gathering.

    This year we'd like to invite everyone to experience a Pagan moot. Our topic will focus on The Divine Feminine;

    ???? Women in Spiritualism
    ???? Feminine energy, Lilith, Celtic Goddesses
    ???? Women in Christianity and the Mother God

    As well as the above talks we'll have discussion time in a friendly, relaxed and welcoming environment.

    Tea and coffee will be provided and everyone is welcome to join us for lunch afterwards.
