Framed by an introduction and afterword, this new volume reflects on environmental issues in the context of the current climate emergency, with articles from diverse denominations and schools of thought. It provides a unique intellectual space for international experts in the two theological worlds as well as specialists in science and architecture to discuss the most pressing matters of ecology and care for the earth. This model of interreligious and interdisciplinary collaboration is likely to help scholars network even more closely, both inside their home traditions and with their theological neighbours. At this Cambridge launch event, a discussion of the book will be presented by Professor Lejla Demiri (Tübingen) and Dr Tim Winter (Cambridge). …

A one-day symposium convened by Dr Ankur Barua (Cambridge) and visiting fellow Dr Soumen Mukherjee (Presidency University, Kolkata). Professor Faisal Devji (Oxford) will deliver the keynote. There will then be 60-minute panels on themes including Texts, contexts, and identities; Reformists, revivalists, and beyond; Religion, society, and literary traditions; and South Asian religions, interreligious exchanges, and global pathways. Attendees may choose between online or on site attendance. This event is hosted at the Centre for Research in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CRASSH) with additional support from the Cambridge Interfaith Research Forum (Small Grant scheme) and the Teape Trust.

All year groups will be given an assembly promoting InterFaith Week from the Head of Religious Studies, involving modelling and promoting pro-active interfaith dialogue without emphasis on trying to persuade others of our beliefs.
I will be asking Y11 students to get involved in the assemblies to see if they would like to model an example of interfaith dialogue. If this is unsuccessful, I will show a video provided by the InterFaith network.…
