    Contemplative Practice at St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace

    Join us to share contemplative silence for the sake of our world at this special event celebrating Inter Faith Week.

    Contemplation is a universal practice that can be found in faith and secular traditions from around the world. Those of all faiths and none are warmly welcome.You are welcome to practice your preferred mode of contemplative practice in this gathering, but no previous prayer or meditation practice is required.

    This event will include a short reading drawn from different faith/secular sources, an offering of shared prayer, 30 minutes of silent contemplation, and a chance for participants to share any reflections if they wish. This will be followed by a shared meal from 19.30-21.00.…

    Watford Interfaith Pilgrimage to six places of worship in Watford.

    Watford and District Synagogue, Nascot Road. 11.30 – 17.00
    Pilgrims will assemble at 11.30 am at the Watford and District Synagogue in Nascot Road, Watford and will then walk to the Friends Meeting House Central Mosque, Al-Zahra Centre, Holy Rood RC Church, finishing at St Mary's Church in Watford High Street at around 5.00pm. You can come and go as you wish, or drive between places of worship.

    Interfaith Walk of Friendship

    Starting at Sunderland Minster, we will then walk to the Sikh Gurdwara on Stockton Road, with a light lunch, then walk to the Convent of Mercy on Tunstall Road and finally, we will visit the new madrasa at Burn Park. It's a great way to meet new people, experience different cultures and share our collective desire for peace in our community and world.
